Project 2 - to add all permits to Compass, this includes Nights Away Permits & Adventurous Activity Permits.

Project 3 - to update all training records.

As a County we have set up a Local Support Strategy to help support everyone throughout the role-out of Compass. Please do NOT call the Info Centre directly as they will revert you back to your Local Support Team.

If you have a question/problem relating to Compass, in the first instance please contact your local Superuser or alternatively you can contact the Superusers via email/phone/web as noted below.

#YouShape Week

1st to 7th February 2016

YouShape Week is a platform to empower young people to shape their Scouting at a national and local level. We are encouraging all sections to engage and take part in activities that enable members to shape their Programme and take part in the national conversation between 1-7 February 2016.

The week will provide the opportunity for every young person from Beavers through to Network to get involved either online or at your meeting place.

Youth Shaped Scouting isn’t a new concept; empowering young people to decide, design and implement their own programme and experiences is what Scouting really does well but we do want to ensure that this continues and is embedded in all that the movement provides.

For further information visit www.scouts.org.uk/youshape - here you will find a dedicated booklet of ideas for your Section.  It’s up to you how you get involved… Then why not purchase the #youshape week 2016 badges from ScoutShops?

The Diana Award

Nominate a young person for a Diana Award. Do you know a young person who is changing the world?
Nominate them for a Diana Award in Diana, Princess of Wales’ name. Nominations close 7th March 2016.
More information on how to nominate can be found by visiting
http://diana-award.org.uk/nominate/

Go Outdoors Shop Visits

Phil Cracknell (ACC Explorers) has been in contact with Go Outdoors about the possibility of being able to organise some evenings where our young people can purchase equipment for their expeditions. He has also included within his emails about extending this to leaders or Groups who may wish to purchase specific items.

Go Outdoors also do a 10% discount in addition to the discount card scheme they run.

We potentially could the arrange a couple of evenings to meet at the store, if there was enough interest.

If this is something which you or your group would be interested in then please send him an email - explorers@glne-scouts.org.uk

British Fencing Training - Scout Network
