To: All Leaders in GLNE

Dear reader,

Membership Number:

County Youth Commissioner Advert

Youth Commissioner Vacancies!!!

I am delighted to announce the vacancies for Youth Commissioners within Greater London North East, in line with The Scout Association’s Vision 2018 to make Scouting a partnership between young people and adult.

Across the County we have seen a rise in the number of young people showing their enthusiasm for making a difference to the way they Scout. This is your chance to take on a youth commission role either at a County or a District level.

These roles offer young people a chance to focus the direction of local Scouting, and empower every young person in Greater London North East to get what they want out of Scouting. You will set a youth strategy and create a team which will help other young people to effect change in their local communities. This truly is an exciting time for our County and our Districts.

Applicants must be aged between 18 and 25 on 1st January 2016. You can nominate yourself, or someone who you think could fulfil the specifications for the role.

I wish you the best of luck in applying for the roles below.

Yours in Scouting,

Paul Trayler

County Commissioner

Gang Show SAS

Calling all Friends, Supporters, Previous Cast, Anyone who's interested in the show....

Enjoy Gang Show?... Whether you’ve been in it, helped with it or just watched it ... Come and join the SASU Gang Show and support the Show in Waltham Forest South District and within the GLNE and LOB County.

The Scout Active Support Unit Gang Show welcomes adults over the age of 18 years and of all interest, abilities and backgrounds.

There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting or Guiding before joining. A DBS will be taken up if not covered already in Scouting & Guiding.

You can currently be a member of the Scout or Guide Association and be an SASU Gang Show Member or just as a helper.

All that is required is a willingness to volunteer some time to support Gang Show.
The flexible nature of SASU Gang Show lends itself to people who want to be involved in Scouting and benefit from opportunities for flexible volunteering. SASU Gang Show can take up as much or as little time as the volunteer wishes.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join a team to help put the show on from year to year. In turn this will enable young people to have the best possible experience both during rehearsals and when performing on stage and be able to say that they have performed as part of the Waltham Forest Gang Show one of the longest running shows of its kind in the County and London.

If you are interested in helping in any of the listed areas or would like to get involved in the show please contact me. michael.hayward@wfgangshow.org.uk or telephone 0208 5275435
